Parking Committee
1. Be sure to
have sufficient men who are not engaged as counselors or
ushers or in other work of the revival to help you in
parking.
2. Most of the time,
local law enforcement agencies will give you help,
especially in getting cars off and onto the streets before and
after
the service. Be
sure to check with them and give them a chance
to help. If they
cannot give men to help, they can offer many helpful suggestions.
3. If possible, have the
men get red-lighted flashlights so they can be
easily recognized.
Line off parking area so that the cars can get
into their places and out again easily.
This varies with the size and
location of the lots.
As chairman, you can work out this as best suits
the local needs.
4. If the local law
enforcement agencies do not remain on the scene
during the service, it will pay to appoint one man each night
to tour
the lot during the service and check for vagrants.
5. Always give the local
Sheriffs Department, Police Department and the
Highway Department
the opportunity to serve in the capacity of
parking the cars.
Then if they cannot do it, proceed on to the
above suggestions.
