In
addition to our revival ministry and our Revelation Bible
Conferences, we have been involved in reaching at-risk youth and
prisoners through out the United States for over forty years.
As often as possible we like to team up with Bill Glass and Champions For Life. Bill
and I played football against each other during college days and
have been friends ever since. Champions for Life is a worldwide
prison ministry that reaches over 50,000 people for Christ every
year.
One of the hallmarks of Champions For Life is the use of superstar
athletes, entertainers and unique attractions to draw the inmates
out so that they can be exposed to the gospel of Christ. The
platform personalities entertain and then present the gospel in a
“non churchy” manner the prisoners can relate too. At the close of
the program the prisoners are pared off with volunteer teammates
(personal workers) to deal with them one on one and spend the rest
of the day with them.
Champions for Life has been blessed over the years with a number of
big name athletes and entertainers, not to mention attractions such
as racecars and jets. All of this is used as “bait” which literally
draws out the “fish”.
